Early afternoon, our Guide and car will meet us at the hotel. Let's drive to the west of Hanoi to Thay pagoda, a renowned Buddhist temple known for its picturesque setting and historical significance. The pagoda complex is divided into three main areas: the Lower level, Middle level and the Upper leveled pagoda. A serene lake is adjacent to the pagoda, known as Long Chieu Lake, adding to the picturesque beauty of the site, reflecting the tranquil and spiritual atmosphere. We can also offer incense here to pray for health, calmness and enlightenment, which is the top purpose one should aim to reach in accordance with the teachings of Buddha! After the visit, we will be transferred to Duong Lam, a very traditional village with ancient laterite houses and great tranquility. At Duong Lam, we can hang around, visiting Mong Phu Communal House and old houses, as well as intermingle with the locals and taste local products: rice wine, green tea, and rice cake. Next, we will visit Mia Pagoda, a complex of temples and shrines built in the 17th century by the locals.
Have dinner at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will arrive at a grand outdoor theater set amidst lush landscapes and water features, creating a perfect backdrop for the evening performance. Let's admire the stunning "Tinh Hoa Bắc Bộ" (The Quintessence of Tonkin) show. This spectacular performance features traditional music, water puppetry, dance, and stunning visual effects that depict the rich culture, folklore, and daily life of Northern Vietnam. We won't feel like a moment is wasted during this show.
After the show, the driver will take us back to Hanoi.
